Terrible, wouldn't use again.
I have grown up on the beaches and have always been careful about being sunburnt. I have tried this product three times and all three times I have been sunburnt. I have been mindful to reapply every few hours, wait before going into the sun and reapplying after swimming. I put the first couple of times down to something I did but after this third time I am blaming this sun cream.
I would never use this again and think it should be tested for quality.

Doesn’t protect from sunburn / sun exposure
I pride myself in staying safe in the sun and wearing 50+ and I’m so disappointed that I’ve been sunburnt badly while using this product. I have used as per directions and reapplied and still got sunburnt. This product was in date. I won’t be using this ever again.

Eliminate Fragrance from ingredients
You have a nearly perfect product on your hands and the number one thing holding back potential “skin-care-routine” conscious consumers is the ingredient list. No one cares about how nice a product smells.. we only care if it contributes to maintaining clear skin that we already spend a good amount on when purchasing other products. Perfumes serve zero cosmetic benefit. Please if you can, remove it. Cheers guys

New formula is no good!
Being using beach defense for years and loved it! Just bought the new formula and first day we applied it, waited 20 minutes before sun and we got burnt! So after spending $40 on a spray and a big cream now I have to go buy sunscreen that actually works :(

Do not use!!
I recently tried this product and got so badly sunburnt I would never use it again. This happened the first time I used it but I thought it was a once off so tried it again, however this week I got so badly burnt (as did my partner) that I wouldn’t risk it again. I reapplied every two hours and waited prior to going in the sun but it provided no protection.

Was great, not as great now
Have been using this for a while but the new bottle we used yesterday has left us burnt and sore. Applied at home before going to beach and every couple of hours. Still came home red and sore. Unhappy with performance, will be changing products.

New Formula Simply Doesnt work. (Old Formula great
We have been a user of Beach Defence exclusively for 5+ years and loved it. Over the past 10 days we have been on holiday in QLD. Before we went i bought the new pump
Pack. Day 1 My kids 21 (olive) 19 (olive) and 19 (fair) applied it themselves and reapplied after swimming. All three came home from the the beach (cloudy 24 degrees) sunburnt. I accused them of not applying it properly and the next day watched them do it and again burnt the third day i actually did it myself in generous proportions. Same result sun burnt. I couldnt understand why when it had always been perfect. Then I noticed on thw pump pack the words “New Formula”. On the forth day went back to the squeeze pack which was older did not have new formula on it and no more sunburn. Something has changed and not for the better. Please bring back the old
Formula or we will have to find a new brand. The product is

HOW TO USE
Directions: Apply liberally to all exposed areas 15 to 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply frequently (at least every 2 hours) and immediately after swimming, excessive perspiration, towelling, or prolonged sun exposure.

Love this product! The smell is just divine, it feels more like a moisturiser than a greasy sunscreen, and it kept me and family sunburn-free for the good few hours we were out in the crazy heat of the day.
